Professionals

SHAPE America Premier Professional Member

Premier Professional membership provides optimal access to SHAPE America’s journals (mailed and digital), includes discounts on SHAPE America resources, programs and events, and offers VIP benefits for the SHAPE America National Convention & Expo.

SHAPE America Select Professional Member

Select Professional membership provides limited access to SHAPE America’s journals (mailed and digital) and discounts on SHAPE America resources, programs and events, including the SHAPE America National Convention & Expo.

SHAPE America Basic Professional Member

Basic Professional membership provides limited access to SHAPE America’s journals (digital only) and discounts on SHAPE America resources, programs and events, excluding the SHAPE America National Convention & Expo.

SHAPE America Collegial Professional Member

Collegial Professional membership provides all the benefits of a Select Professional membership in SHAPE America, combined with an annual membership to a state affiliate.

Current participating state associations include SHAPE-Utah, SHAPE PA, and SHAPE Washington. Learn more about collegial memberships.

SHAPE Ameria Retired or Emeritus Member

Retired membership provides limited access to SHAPE America’s journals (digital only) and discounts to all of SHAPE America’s invaluable resources, programs and events, including the SHAPE America National Convention & Expo.

To be eligible for this category, individuals must have at least 20 years of professional membership in SHAPE America and be fully retired from teaching duties. Member must contact member services to confirm eligibility.

Non-Member Professional

Non-Member Professionals are individuals who work in a professional setting and are not members of SHAPE America. A complimentary one-year SHAPE America Basic Professional membership is automatically included in the cost of national convention registration.

Students

SHAPE America Student Member

Student membership provides limited access to one SHAPE America journal (digital only) and discounts to all of SHAPE America’s invaluable resources, programs, and events, including the SHAPE America National Convention & Expo.

To be eligible for this category, individuals must be registered full-time in an academic program as an undergraduate or graduate student in a regular course of study in health education, kinesiology or related HPE fields. The total cumulative period for a member to hold this status is limited to six years. Proof of student status is required annually.

SHAPE America Collegial Student Member

Collegial Student membership provides all the benefits of a Student membership in SHAPE America, combined with an annual membership to a state affiliate.

Non-Member Student

Non-Member Students are individuals registered full-time in an academic program as an undergraduate or graduate student in a regular course of study in health education, kinesiology or related HPE fields and are not members of SHAPE America. A complimentary SHAPE America Student membership is automatically included in the cost of national convention registration.

Institutions

SHAPE America Institutional Member

Institutional membership is open to preK-12 schools, colleges/universities and health and physical education-related companies.

Up to four individuals can be included in one institutional membership, and the selected print journal will be mailed to the main contact on the membership. The four individuals are not eligible for voting or convention discounts. Please fill out and submit the institutional membership form via email, fax or mail — or call member services at 800-213-7193 with any questions.
