Seeking New Western District Director
Calling all leaders! We are looking for a District Director for SHAPE America’s Western District! This position is a *volunteer* leadership position (without compensation), but in the past, Western District’s budget has provided partial funding to attend the National Convention, and the Western District Director also receives complimentary registration each year for the convention. Western District’s budget also helps support the District Director’s travel to attend the Leadership Summit, held annually right before Speak OUT! Day.

- Selects and honors Western District members through an annual district awards program;
- Uses social media (Facebook and Twitter) to raise visibility of SHAPE America, Western District, and the state affiliate associations within the district;
- Promotes SHAPE America’s health. moves. minds.® program within Western District;
- Advocates for health and physical education using resources from the SHAPE America Legislative Action Center; and
- Provides and promotes professional development opportunities within Western District.
