Jump Rope For Heart Coordinator Award

The Jump Rope For Heart Coordinator Award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the Jump Rope For Heart (JRFH) program. A JRFH coordinator is defined as an individual who has or had the major responsibility for organizing and conducting a JRFH event for a specific school, organization or school system. A demonstration team coach is defined as an individual who has/had the major responsibility of teaching, training and coaching a group of children who have presented workshops for the purpose of promoting the JRFH Program.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years' experience either as an event coordinator, demonstration team coach, state or district coordinator, former Steering Committee member, former Joint Task Force member, or former Joint Projects Committee member;
  • Is currently a member of SHAPE America and has been a member for the past three years;
  • Serves as a positive role model, epitomizing personal health and fitness, enjoyment of activity, and sportsmanship, as well as sensitivity to the needs of the participants;
  • Assumes responsibility for his/her professional growth within SHAPE America related fields;
  • Demonstrated commitment to the JRFH program by having served on a local, state, district or national committee and/or having presented workshops or programs at any of these levels;
