On Demand Learning – Anytime, Anywhere

The SHAPE America Catalog makes it easy for preK-12 health and physical education teachers to earn contact hours, learn with self-paced, effective webinars and courses, and access professional learning materials.

Use the SHAPE America Catalog to:

  • Find targeted webinars, courses, and professional development materials of interest using the powerful search and browse functionality;
  • Uncover new learning opportunities with tagged categories, topics, audiences, and types of materials;
  • Track your online professional development and contact hours in one place from the user-friendly SHAPE America Online Institute dashboard (must be logged in to your SHAPE America account).

About the SHAPE America Catalog and the SHAPE America Online Institute

The SHAPE America Catalog is a library of SHAPE America’s free and paid webinars, courses, and professional learning materials. Use the Catalog to browse and order online learning opportunities through SHAPE America.

The SHAPE America Online Institute is a repository where users can find all webinars and course content that you have purchased or ordered, including videos, transcripts, and certificates of completion.

Accessing the Catalog

To access the SHAPE America catalog, click on “Shop” in the upper right corner of any page on the SHAPE America website and select “Catalog.”

Visit the SHAPE America Catalog to browse all webinars, courses, and professional learning materials. Log in to your SHAPE America account or create a free non-member account to see the most up-to-date pricing information for your membership tier. SHAPE America members save up to 30% on webinars and courses available in the SHAPE America Catalog. To save on professional development offerings, become a member.

By default, the SHAPE America Catalog shows webinars, courses, and professional learning materials sorted from Newest to Oldest publication date. You can search the Catalog in a variety of ways: using search terms, filtering by categories, topics, audience, type, or sorting by title and release date.

Use the search bar in the upper left corner of the Catalog to find all learning opportunities related to a specific keyword or search term of interest. Use the category, topic, audience, and type filters on the left side of the SHAPE America catalog to see learning opportunities based on specific characteristics, including all new offerings. To see new learning opportunities, select “New” under Type.

To see learning opportunities sorted alphabetically (A-Z or Z-A) or by date (Newest-Oldest or Oldest-Newest), use the “Sort by” function in the upper right corner of the Catalog.

“By You, For You” webinars have been curated from proposals submitted by SHAPE America members. Each webinar is prerecorded and available for on-demand viewing on (and after) its scheduled release date. This makes it easy to earn and track SHAPE America Contact Hours (SACH) on your timetable! “By You, For You” webinars are free available to all SHAPE America members and can be purchased by non-members.

SHAPE America hosts a variety of synchronous, asynchronous, live and on-demand professional learning opportunities. Browse the SHAPE America catalog to see what’s currently available and keep an eye on the SHAPE America Professional Development page to stay informed on upcoming opportunities.

SHAPE America offers a variety of professional learning opportunities with different engagement options, each which includes a description with details regarding interaction with presenters, speakers and other attendees. SHAPE America members save up to 30% on webinars and courses available in the SHAPE America Catalog. To ensure you see the correct pricing based on your membership tier or status, please log in to your SHAPE America account. If you would like to save on professional development offerings and are not currently a SHAPE America member, join today.

All items that are freely available to all or included with your membership tier can be accessed by adding that item to your cart and proceeding through the checkout process. All freely available items will cost $0.

Please contact [email protected] to get a refund for webinars or courses that have not been viewed.

Accessing Purchased Materials

To access your purchased webinars and courses, visit the SHAPE America Online Institute. You can access the SHAPE America Online Institute by logging in to your SHAPE America account. Click “Log In” in the upper right corner of any page on the SHAPE America website and input your username and password.

Once you are logged in, you can access the SHAPE America Online Institute two ways:

  1. Click on your name in the upper right corner of any page on the SHAPE America website, then select “X.”
  2. Click on your name in the upper right corner of any page on the SHAPE America website, then select, “My Profile.” Click on the “My Transcript” button in the lower left corner.

To view previously purchased learning opportunities, visit the SHAPE America Online Institute. Under the “Enrolled” section of the “My Transcript” tab, you will see your previously purchased webinars and courses. Once you have completed a webinar or course, it can be found under the “Grades” tab.

Your SHAPE America Order Confirmation page on the Catalog and your SHAPE America Order Confirmation email include a link to download purchased professional development materials. If you are unable to find your confirmation email, please contact [email protected] for assistance.

Most learning opportunities are available to you for one year after purchase. Select learning opportunities have different dates of access. Those will be clearly marked within the SHAPE America Catalog listing. Any certificates or credits earned will remain in your SHAPE America Online Institute account even after access to the learning opportunities expires.

Certifications and Contact Hours

The SHAPE America Online Institute, where you can find and launch purchased webinars and courses, provides a comprehensive transcript of all completed items, which is also available in PDF format.

To earn a certificate, you will need to watch the entire webinar or course before the certificate is available to download and/or print. When you have completed a course or passed an exam, your certificates will show up under the item in the “Grades” tab of “My Transcript.” Locate the appropriate item, then click “Certificate” to access your certificate.

Please note that you will need to check with your district and/or licensing agency to see if SHAPE America contact hours will count towards your professional development and/or licensure requirements.

No, not all webinars and courses available in the SHAPE America Catalog provide SACH upon completion. Please carefully review all webinar and course descriptions to confirm. If a webinar or course offers SACH upon completion, the description will explicitly mention this.

When you have completed a course or passed an exam that offers SHAPE America Contact Hours, your certificate(s) will show up under the item in the “Grades” tab of “My Transcript” on the SHAPE America Online Institute. Locate the appropriate item, then click “Certificate” to access your certificate.

Webinar/Course Materials

If a webinar or course includes handouts or resources, you can find them in the SHAPE America Online Institute. After logging in, select “View Details” for the webinar or course. Handouts and other resources can be downloaded from the “Resources” tab.

If you do not see any handouts in the “Resources” tab of the webinar or course on the SHAPE America Online Institute, it means the speakers/authors have not uploaded any materials as handouts.

SHAPE America Account Information

Log in to your SHAPE America account by clicking “Log In” in the upper right corner of any page on the SHAPE America website. Input your SHAPE America account username and password.

Your username (or login) is the email address that is listed in your profile. If you are unsure of what this is, please contact our membership department at 800-213-7193 x3490 or email [email protected].

Your password is created by you when you log in for the first time. Click the “Forgot My Password” option to receive instructions on creating your new password. Please note: The password must be at least seven characters long and contain at least one letter and one number. If you attempt to log in too many times with the incorrect password, your account will become locked and you will need to contact our membership department at 800-213-7193 x3490 or email [email protected].

After you have logged into your account, click your name on the top right-hand portion of the screen. You will receive a drop-down menu. Click on "My Profile" to bring up your profile/personal information. Click on the "Contact Information" tab to change the password.
